Anyone who lives, works, or owns a business in Montague is encouraged to sign up to ensure they receive timely emergency information.

I was signed up for the Town’s old alert system. Do I need to re-enroll?

Yes. Even if you were signed up for a previous Town alert system, you will need to sign up again to receive alerts through the new Rave Alerts system.

Why might I choose to also sign up through Smart911?

When you sign up through Smart911, you can:

  • Receive Rave Alerts from the Town

  • Create a secure Safety Profile that can assist 9-1-1 responders

  • Manage how and when you receive emergency notifications

Some residents find this option convenient because it combines emergency alerts and emergency call preparedness in one place.

How do I sign up for Smart911?

Residents and Business Owners who wish to create a Smart911 Safety Profile and receive alerts can register online at:

Do I have to create a Smart911 profile to receive alerts?

No. Creating a Smart911 profile is completely optional.
Residents may receive alerts simply by texting Montague to 77295 without creating a Smart911 account.

Rave Alerts is the Town of Montague’s emergency notification system. It is used to send important information such as severe weather alerts, road closures, emergency-related parking bans, and other urgent public safety updates.
